No matter the storm or dark cloud days you keep your own path.."

VISTA RELEASES NEW SINGLE “HENCHMEN”
Download “Henchmen” here
“Overall, ‘Henchmen’ is a great next step in VISTA’s musical career. A track that perfectly balances hard-hitting instrumentation with infectious vocals and hooks, it’s definitely the best showing of the band thus far.” - Legendary Kids Press
Head over to Substream for an exclusive steam of "Henchmen" by clicking here.
After releasing their debut EP “VERSUS” this past May, powerhouse anthem rock band VISTA continues to spread their infectious energy through their brand new single, “Henchmen.” Hoping to cement the band as a punchy anthemic trio, the track sends out a strong message of unity to anyone who has felt a sense of oppression in modern society. The combination of impactful elements, including dueling vocals and compelling lyrics, successfully pushes VISTA in a fierce direction as they prepare to create their next EP. About the single, the band states,
“”Henchmen” is a headfirst dive into part of the musical world we have created. We wanted to come out strong with this one. We wanted to resonate with people who have been feeling held back, oppressed. But we also wanted to show people very clearly what this iteration of VISTA is capable of sonically. And we’re only just beginning.”
Coined one of Rock Sound’s “On The Radar” bands just months after their resurrection, VISTA was derived from the decade-long solo career of frontwoman Hope Vista. Rounded out with guitarist Greg Almeida and drummer Matthew Vlossak, the self-described anthem rock band is the newest name on the block; and is already resonating throughout a massive audience on all social media fronts. To coincide with the release of “Henchmen,” VISTA will also be opening for Fueled By Ramen artist Against The Current in New York City on 1/13/17..“Henchmen” is available NOW.

LESS THAN JAKE WILL RELEASE NEW EP, ‘SOUND THE ALARM,’ ON FEB 3RD;
PRE-ORDER THE RECORD AND STREAM THEIR NEW SONG, “THINGS CHANGE,” NOW!
Influential Gainesville punk band Less Than Jake has announced plans to release a new EP titled Sound The Alarm on February 3rd with their new label Pure Noise Records.
Fans can pre-order the record and stream a brand new song called “Things Change” now at http://smarturl.it/LTJ.
Speaking about the new song, lyricist and drummer Vinnie Fiorello says:
"The only thing constant is change" is one of the lines in the chorus of the song and such a massive truth to me. The sooner you could realize this, digest it, and embrace it the better off you're going to be. Let it all move forward, at lightning speed. Everything and everyone changes, the world keeps on spinning like it or not.”
Less Than Jake’s new EP, Sound The Alarm, marks an exciting new chapter for the band as they celebrate 25 years together and a newly inked deal with Pure Noise Records. Featuring 7, ska infused punk songs that quickly remind listeners of the band’s incredible ability to craft memorable, hook-filled music.
“We started writing this set of songs, similar to our last record See The Light, sitting around a table in our warehouse with some acoustic guitars, lyrics scribbled on scraps of paper, and a constant barrage of ideas,” Fiorello explains. “Trying ideas as they would come out, sometimes chasing the idea, or getting connected or not connected to an idea right away. We had been writing and were planning on fleshing out the ideas while on Warped Tour.”
'Sound The Alarm' was recorded and produced by Roger Lima and mixed at the famed punk recording studio, The Blasting Room, in Fort Collins, CO. The band wrapped the record following their run on last summer’s Vans Warped Tour.
After years of releasing records through various major and independent labels Less Than Jake has found a new home at the Southern California based Pure Noise Records.
“When I met Jake at the San Francisco stop of Warped Tour, we talked about working together,” Fiorello adds. “He is a longtime fan, knows the history and the arch of LTJ and that's important to know where we have to go. It's always great to have a mutual respect between band and label and that is exactly what we have between LTJ and Pure Noise.”
Fans can catch Less Than Jake live this winter on their co-headline U.S. tour with San Diego rock band Pepper, which starts in Dallas, TX on January 20th and wraps in St. Petersburg, FL on February 28th. Tickets are on sale now at http://www.lessthanjake.com/.

DUNE RATS DEBUT INTERACTIVE VIDEO FOR “SCOTT GREEN” AT HIGHTIMES.COM; NEW ALBUM OUT FEB 3RD ON DINE ALONE RECORDS
Australian stoner-pop band Dune Rats has premiered a unique, interactive video today for their new single Scott Green at HighTimes.com. The track is lifted from their new album, The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit, which will be released on February 3rd via Dine Alone Records. The 11 track album was produced by FIDLAR’S Zac Carper and was recorded at Head Gap Studios in Melbourne. The Kids Will Know It’s Right is available for physical pre-order now at whosscottgreen.com. It will be available for digital pre-order in North America on December 30th.
Watch the video for Scott Green now at HighTimes.com: http://bit.ly/2gFakgr
The official video for Scott Green is a first not only for Dunies but for Australian music videos in general and it’s f*cking awesome. The interactive visuals take the viewer on a ‘choose your own adventure’ style journey through a house party and invites them to choose which room the band will enter and how they will party. The aim is to help the band solve the mystery of ‘Who’s Scott Green?’ – If the joke hasn’t hit you yet, check out the boys’ Facebook page for more info.
Video director Mac De Souza from Hype Republic says of the Scott Green video:
“The concept is the band are heading to a house party, and have their stash of weed stolen off them out the front by our ‘Scott Green’ character who runs into the house. The chase for Scott Green begins and they search for him high and low throughout this fantasy-like house party with 4 different themed rooms based on drugs you’d see at a typical Aussie houseparty (weed room, ecstasy room, cocaine room and LSD room). The viewer gets to choose which door they go in, and each room provides a ‘clue’ to where Scott Green might be hiding in a ‘Where’s Wally-like game adventure.”
BC Michaels of Dune Rats adds “Had a f*cking blast making this clip, we jumped straight off the plane from Europe, filmed for three days straight and then got on a plane to the states. Stoked with how it turned out and everyone who put in effort! Good shit legends.”
The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit is the second full length album by Dune Rats, with most of the tracks being written in beach shacks across the east coast of Australia, although Scott Green had its own unique origins in the US. “We made Scott Green out at Joshua Tree in America with Zac from FIDLAR. We had 5 days to write some songs in between tours in the US & UK and we busted out a fuck load of tunes having a blast in the middle of bum fuck nowhere.”
The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit Tracklisting:
- Don’t Talk
- 6 Pack
- Demolition Derby
- Braindead
- Scott Green
- Never Gonna Get High
- Like Before
- Counting Sheep
- Buzz-kill

STICK TO YOUR GUNS PREMIERES NEW VIDEO FOR “BETTER ASH THAN DUST” IN SUPPORT FOR STANDING ROCK
Orange County hardcore band Stick To Your Guns has debuted a brand new video for their song “Better Ash Than Dust.” The song is the title track from the band’s recently released EP that is available now from Pure Noise Records at http://smarturl.it/STYG and digitally at iTunes.
Never ones to mince words, Stick To Your Guns takes a bold political and social stand against racism, police brutality, corporate greed, complacency and overall American gluttony at the expense of others in their seething new video for “Better Ash Than Dust.”
“With the eyes of the world on what is happening in North Dakota and the Dakota Access Pipeline, I think this a perfect time to release this video,” says vocalist Jesse Barnett. “So much of what is happening to the indigenous people of what we call America is not only horrifying, but down right unacceptable. This is not just an injustice against these people, their land and their water, but it's a perfect example of how what we call a civilized society can, more often than not, be barbaric and disgusting. The support that the whole world has shown for Standing Rock has been and inspiring thing to watch and this band stands in solidarity with them.”
In support, Stick To Your Guns, Pure Noise Records and Good Fight Entertainment will each be donating a dollar per share, up to a thousand dollars each, to Standing Rock front line warriors. Beyond this, there is a lot more people can do to get involved. Go to standingrock.org to find out how.
Stick To Your Guns recently wrapped up their U.S. “Better Ash Than Dust Tour,” and will be headed to Australia and Europe in early 2017.

blindspot Premier New Music Video - "Every Time You Close Your Eyes"
blindspot is thee-piece Indie rock band from Boston. Today, they released a music video for "Every Time You Close Your Eyes," the lead single off their upcoming self-titled EP due out in February of 2017.
We talked with blindspot frontwoman Alexa about the band, music video, and local scene.
Crowdsurf Central: When was the band formed?
blindspot: Chris and Alexa were recording covers together and doing open mics for a few years before they began playing gigs and writing serious material around 2013. The band has gone through a few lineups until they found Austin and asked him to be an official member this past fall.
Crowdsurf Central: What music do you have out and where can it be found?
blindspot: We have put out a handful of singles over the last two years and they can all be found on Soundcloud, YouTube, and Bandcamp.

Crowdsurf Central: Which musician(s) have inspired you most?
blindspot: My number one influence is definitely Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Aerosmith is the first band I ever loved when I first got into music and those feelings have only gotten stronger. Steven’s vocal range, image, and stage presence inspire the way I perform and carry myself in blindspot. Opening for Steven and meeting him after the show this summer was nothing short of a dream come true. - Alexa
Mine would be The Edge from U2 because he uses just the right amount of notes to make a part work and no more. - Chris
Aaron Gillespie was the first drummer I ever saw hit his drums as hard as he could and that passion really resonated with me. - Austin
Crowdsurf Central: Does having a female-fronted band help or hurt you? Have you ever encountered problems?
blindspot: I think it could go either way. A lot of people like it and are impressed, but some don’t get impressed until AFTER they hear us play. A few times I have gotten surprised reactions that I am even in the band, which I’m sure has happened to many of my fellow female musicians. Never judge a book by its cover.
Crowdsurf Central: What are some of your favorite venues and events that you have played?
blindspot: Some of the coolest shows that we have gotten to play are when we opened for Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Puddle of Mudd, Gin Blossoms, and Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots. One of my most recent favorite shows was actually on my birthday this past September at The Whiskey Barrel Bar in Haverhill, MA where a ton of our friends and fans came out to support us that night. We also ventured out on our first official tour this past spring and travelled all the way down the east coast playing a lot of cool new cities and venues.
Crowdsurf Central: Which local bands do you usually play with?
blindspot: We love playing with Aeronaut Down from Boston and we have gone on tour with The House On Cliff, also from Boston.
Crowdsurf Central: What was the inspiration for this new song?
blindspot: The song is about the internal conflict between the heart and the mind. The heart might be telling you one thing, while the mind is telling you that it might not be a good choice for you after all. We decided to use blindfolds in the music video as a metaphor for “every time you close your eyes,” showing how that inner conflict can hold you back from who you could be.
Crowdsurf Central: Where did you film the music video?
blindspot: We used three different locations to film this video. The room and hallway scenes are from Chris’ dad’s office in Chelmsford, MA, the parking lot scenes are from The Burlington Mall parking lot, and the pool scenes were shot at the Westford Regency Inn and Conference Center.
blindspot are finishing up an EP right and “Every Time You Close Your Eyes” will be the lead single. The EP release show is at The Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA on February 25, 2017. blindspot are also headed down south in December to play a few shows in Florida and Georgia.
They will be playing December 9th at The Attic in Tampa, FL, December 10th at “Countdown to Christmas” at Celebration Festival in Orlando, and December 11th at Smithe’s Old Bar in Atlanta, GA. You can also catch us them Wednesday night in January at Fury’s Publick House in Dover, NH.
Carousel Kings Debut New Song
Recent Victory Records signing CAROUSEL KINGS have released “Here, Now, Forever,” via Alternative Press. The track, from the upcoming album Charm City, showcases a more serene side of the pop-punk band, a sonic change partially inspired by flotation therapy. "It’s got a really different vibe than we’re used to," explains guitarist Will Barovick about the song. "I think the floating definitely tied into that."
Listen to "Here, Now, Forever," below:
"'Here, Now, Forever' emerges from the deepest depths of the minds, heart and soul of the band members," says singer David Alexander. "With the inspiration of flotation therapy, it is the purest and most genuine emotion the band has ever released to date. One of our favorites to play live and listen to, we hope the rest of the world feels the same and can find some sort of connection with it."

CAN’T SWIM DEBUTS NEW SONG, “STRANGER,” AT ALTPRESS.COM
Rock band Can’t Swim has surprised fans today with a brand new song called “Stranger,” which has premiered at AltPress.com. Listen to the song now at http://bit.ly/2gkfGyT.
Can’t Swim has spent the last year touring behind their most recent EP, Death Deserves A Name, and shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Less than a year later the band has returned with a new song, “Stranger,” which finds the band at their most creative and showcases an evolved alternative sound. The band has plans to release their next full-length record in 2017.
""Stranger" is a good representation of what our new record sounds like. The songs are spread out across the spectrum, some quiet and slow while others are fast and aggressive, and I think "Stranger" captures both of those sides pretty well. The idea for the video is also very similar, showing all kinds of relationships between all different types of people. "Stranger" is certainly a good foreshadowing of the band we want to be and the message we want to portray. I hope it sheds some light on what we have planned for the future and how excited we are to release more music." - Chris Loporto (vocals/guitar)
Can’t Swim is currently on tour in Europe with labelmates Boston Manor and will return to the U.S. for select dates with Set Your Goals, Misser, Like Pacific and Search Party.

Nathan Leigh
Hailed as “a songbook for our time,” indie folk producer and songwriter Nathan Leigh's 2012 album A Life In Transit explored the highs and lows of touring life. Splitting his time between the life of a touring musician and a theatre composer, Nathan Leigh has performed in venues across the country, and had his music featured in over 300 plays from South Africa to Greece. With former Super Mirage bandmate Kyle Jarrow, Nathan co-created the musicals Big Money (WTF Boris Segall Fellowship 2008) and The Consequences (World Premiere 2012 at WHAT). Collaborating with Jason Slavick and the Liars and Believers ensemble, Nathan Leigh composed scores for adaptations of Song of Songs and Icarus (NYMF 2013). He is the composer and co-lyricist for The Mad Scientist’s Guide to Romance, Robots and Soul-Crushing Loneliness (NYC Fringe 2015) with book writer Megan Sass. Since 2010, Nathan has worked for AFROPUNK as staff music reviewer and producer for the monthly AFROPUNK Mixtape series. Nathan is a founding member of the Peoples Puppets of Occupy Wall Street, now in its 5th year of radical street theatre and puppetry. His latest full length solo album, Ordinary Eternal Machinery, is due out January 2017.
