Tool have FINALLY announced a tour ... does this mean a new album will follow?

At noon EST, the band made another post that has had the music world buzzing:

We are very excited to announce that TOOL will be bringing their unparalleled sonic and visual experience to a select number of cities in May and June 2017.
This tour will mark the first time Tool has performed in New York City or Boston since 2006. 2006 also marks the last time Tool released an album with 10,000 Days which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 along with being certified platinum by the RIAA.
Tickets for this amazing tour will go on sale Mar. 17 at 10:00 AM local time, however if you're a member of the ToolArmy, you can buy a VIP package on Wednesday, Mar. 15.
If the you don't see any dates near you, don't worry just yet! The band also posted, "I also encourage fans of the band to keep checking back with the Tool websites and socials for additional shows.
