Our Darkest Days Signs To Bird Attack Records, Stream First Single "Ceaseless" From Upcoming Album

Our Darkest Days has signed to Bird Attack Records and announced they will be releasing their new album A Common Agony on November 18, 2016.

Vocalist Vince Fournier comments on the signing:

"Two years ago, when we release our first video, Garrett [from Bird Attack Records] approached us to salute us for our work on this track. Time passes, then we met him at the Pouzza Fest in Montreal. The day after our set, Garrett told us that he was interested in getting our next release on Bird Attack Records. We finally arrived at this moment and for us it's huge! It's been over 20 years that we are in different projects, and for us, it's the culmination of a part of our lives. We are proud and super excited to be a part of the Bird Attack family. It's a rad label with an amazing band roster and the BA crew is amazing!"

You can now listen to the first single from the album, titled "Ceaseless," via Bandcamp.

Fournier comments on choosing the song as their lead single:

"For us, it was an easy choice. 'Ceaseless' represents Our Darkest Day's every angle - technical guitars, fast pickings, a 'pedal to the metal' beat and melody that stays in your head. To be honest, this is a piece that means a lot to us."

About Our Darkest Days:

Our Darkest Days is a 5-piece Canadian melodic fast punk rock band formed in Quebec City in 2012, by the former members and old friends, singer Vince Fournier, guitarist Dann Greene, followed by guitarist Russ Almond and drummer Matt Leclerc. Bassist Jam Gosselin joined the next year. Most of the members have been around playing punk rock fury for about 20 years, and still keep their flame as strong as always. After years of work, Matt Leclerc has been replaced by new drummer Guillaume Fortin in 2015 who increased the songs speed, and Russ replaced by Claude Plamondon who left in 2016, which the line up has finally been completed by the missing piece of the puzzle John Leblanc, later in the same year.

While working on music, they came to define a unique and original sound that would stand apart among any other bands. However, they have been influenced a lot by the 90s punk rock such as Ignite, Propagandhi, Lagwagon, Good
Riddance, Strung Out etc. Their first demo has been released in 2013, followed by a split in Fall 2014 with Set It Back. They played several shows in the Eastern Canada.

After two years of live performance, they moved forward to a new writing process, and entered in studio for their first full length A Common Agony, with Fréquences Productions (Pierre Lemire & Michael Fontaine) and has been mastered by Daryl Phenneger. The album is fueled with thirteen mindblowing tracks, and a very energic and technical "unleash the beast" sound with fast drums, solid bass and guitar riffs, flawless pickings and solos, powerful and harmonious vocal melodies, many sudden stops, and an instant ear-catching throughout the whole album that leaves you wanting more.
